Elara has officially launched as your new, local commercial cleaning and facilities management partner based in the North West.
Previously, our services operated under the ‘PureMaison’ name we carried for 20 years. As our company continues to grow and flourish in the commercial sector, we felt it was time to rename to reflect this, and so, Elara was born.
This rebrand allows each company to serve its core audience more effectively. PureMaison will continue to offer specialist, domestic home cleaning services, while Elara is focused on supporting commercial clients with reliable, process-driven cleaning and facilities management.
Where did the ‘Elara’ name come from?
The name Elara was chosen to reflect clarity and professionalism but also to retain a sense of warmth and approachability.
It draws inspiration from Greek mythology, where ‘Elara’ is associated with protection and care. Elara is also the name of one of Jupiter’s moons – a constant, stabilising presence. Both meanings reflect the brand’s role in our clients’ day-to-day operations.
The turning point
Our partnership with Shotton Mill, the largest paper mill in Europe, became a defining point in Elara’s development. Managing a high-volume of cleaning hours every week and overseeing a full range of site services, the team demonstrated its ability to adapt and manage broader facilities needs.
The project also accelerated the rollout of processes and staff structures designed specifically for large-scale commercial work.
Branching off from PureMaison
PureMaison’s commercial side was growing rapidly, with high-volume contracts including Shotton Mill, and it soon became clear that this demand needed a separate, clear brand that focused solely on the commercial cleaning sector.
We set out to build a skilled workforce that truly understands the complexity and compliance involved in commercial cleaning, while also offering a facilities management branch to further support our clients’ maintenance needs.
Elara was created to give those clients a dedicated team and structure, without diluting PureMaison’s focus on domestic homes.
